DESCRIPTION:This class will prepare you for all of the exercises so you will know exactly what you need to work on with your dog. You will have the opportunity to practice the exercises required in these tests. Practice makes perfect! \nTherapy Dog International Test (TDI)\nThe Primary objective of the TDI dog and handler is to provide comfort and companionship by sharing the dog with the patients in hospitals\, nursing homes and other institutions and wherever else the Therapy Dog is needed. This is done in a way that increases emotional well being\, promotes healing\, and improves the quality of life for the people being visited and the staff that cares for these people. \nThe CGC and TDI also lays the foundation for the Public Access Test for the Misty Pines Certified Service Dogs. \nRead this article for more information about the Therapy Dog International Title and to learn the requirements to achieve it. \nPlease pre-register for this class online or by calling our office at 412.364.4122
