My name is Justin Leggs, and I’ve had a lifelong passion for animals—especially dogs. My interest in dog training began at an early age, when I attended obedience classes with my parents and one of our puppies. Throughout my teenage years, I dedicated myself to training my own dogs and working part-time at Misty Pines, where my love for working with dogs grew even stronger.
In 2019, I relocated to South Carolina and spent five years serving as a career firefighter. It was during that time that I discovered my passion for bird dogs and everything that comes with raising, training, and hunting with them. Since then, I’ve worked with numerous bird dogs of various breeds, and every day, I find myself even more captivated by the art and science of dog training.
Now back in Pittsburgh, I’ve returned to Misty Pines and continue to pursue my passion. I’m currently working toward earning my Professional Dog Trainer certification. My goal is simple: to help dogs reach their full potential while building strong, lasting relationships between them and their handlers.
