Dog Training Classes

Our Dog Training Classes teach through repetition and by slowly increasing the Four Variables of Training on an individual basis. This gives each dog/handler team the ability to progress at their own pace and also gives flexibility to come to the class time that fits your family’s schedule.

New students must attend or view our Dog Training Orientation. We have Online and In-Person Orientations available. Once completed, you can register for classes online.

Visit our Dog Training Classes page for more information about our Dog Training Orientation and a full list of all of our Dog Training Classes.

Canine Behavior Consultations

Misty Pines offers private behavior consultations designed to help you understand and resolve challenging issues such as aggression, fearfulness, resource guarding, and separation anxiety. During your session, our trainers will analyze your dog’s history, temperament, health, and breed traits to identify the root of the problem. From there, we’ll create a clear, positive action plan to improve behavior and strengthen the relationship between you and your dog.

Board N’ Train

Misty Pines’ Board and Train program allows your dog to receive focused training sessions while boarding, helping accelerate skills in obedience, manners, agility, socialization, fieldwork, and other specialized goals. Our certified trainers work one‑on‑one with your dog during scheduled 30‑minute sessions and provide a detailed report card at pickup. A follow‑up private lesson is recommended to help you continue the progress at home and maintain consistent training.

Go to our Board N’ Train page for further information, forms and how to schedule.

Dog Training Boot Camp

Our two‑week Dog Training Boot Camp program provides an intensive, structured training experience for dogs who need a jump start, extra focus, or help reaching advanced goals such as service work or field training. Throughout their stay, dogs receive individualized daily training, carefully managed environments, and detailed progress updates, including a training journal and a final report card. Owners are included in the process through a private lesson at pickup to ensure smooth transition and long‑term success at home.

Bird Dog Training

Misty Pines Gun Dog Company’s Hunting Dog Training program builds each dog’s natural instincts and drive through a personalized, thoughtful approach that brings out their full potential in the field. After an initial private session, our trainers design a customized plan that supports steady progress and sharpens both skills and manners—whether you’re aiming for a polished upland hunter, a reliable waterfowl retriever, or a future Master Hunter. From there, teams can train through private lessons, group classes, or immersive Boot Camp on more than 25 acres of woods, fields, and water, where live birds create authentic hunting scenarios.

Visit our Bird Dog Training page to learn more about our program, meet our trainers, or explore training options.

Therapy Dog Training

A therapy dog provides comfort, connection, and emotional well‑being to people in hospitals, nursing homes, and other care settings. These dogs must demonstrate friendliness, reliability, and solid obedience skills. To build those abilities, teams move through orientation, group classes, and monthly CGC/Therapy Dog prep sessions. For teams that want additional guidance, private lessons, Boot Camp, and Daycare Training also offer valuable support.
