Training while boarding
While your dog is boarding with us you may schedule training sessions during their stay. This program is designed to expedite your dog’s training for basic obedience, good manners, agility, socialization or for any specific goals you may have for your dog. Our certified professional dog trainers will work with your dog on any behaviors you would like such as walking nicely on leash, not jumping up, sit, down, stay, come, heel or any command or behavior you need extra help with. Dog Training sessions during Board and Train are 30 minutes. You may schedule as many 30 minute sessions as you would like during your dog’s visit.
When you pick up your dog from boarding you will receive a report card regarding your dog’s training. Scheduling a private lesson when you pick up your dog, or at another time shortly after their boarding stay, provides the opportunity to work with the trainers and learn to utilize commands the same as our trainers during the board and train program. Schedule private lessons at any time to progress the training that has been started and schedule follow up training the next time your dog boards with us.
Our Board and Train Program is a highly effective method of teaching good dog behavior, but in order to retain these good behaviors in the home environment, the owners must be part of the training process. Through private lessons or group class we can help you become a good leader, teacher and trainer, for your dog. “Dogs are only as good as their masters.” Misty Pines’ dog training classes are user friendly. All dog training classes are on-going and run continuously throughout the year. You participate at your convenience, and pay for each class as you attend.
Dog Board and Train
30 minute sessions – $50 each
We recommend scheduling the board and train program before your dog’s arrival date. To schedule boarding and training for your dog, use our scheduling website. Once you are registered, click on the dog you want to board, then choose “Booking” then “Boarding | Dog” to choose your dates. At the “Activities” section, choose 30 Minute Dog Training Session or 15 Minute Dog Training Session. There are various options to schedule, ranging from Every Day, to Every Other Day, to Specific Date, etc. In the notes section of the activity list the specific behaviors that you would like us to work on with your dog.
